Cheetah Chrome‘s basic sound is loud rock n roll. Louder than most. Bring earplugs unless you’re in the band. I will be backed by local Austin musicians, Jason Kottwitz on guitar, Gabriel Asher on bass, and John Miller on drums.
As a lead-up to South by Southwest, The Noise Room is talking to bands and artists performing at SXSW. If you’ll be playing at SXSW and want to be interviewed, please contact us. Here’s what Cheetah Chrome had to say:
What do like most about playing at SXSW?
I just enjoy the atmosphere of the whole thing, it’s fun.
Are there any bands or musicians that you are looking forward to checking out?
I’m not projecting that far this year, I’m gonna take it as it comes.I tend to plan on things and then for one reason or another they change, so….
What are the challenges for you or your band when playing at SXSW?
No real challenges, it’s a gig!
Do you have any survival tips for those attending SXSW?
Exit I35 always to the West when going downtown…….
Are you more “stick around, check out music and enjoy the scene” or “play as many shows as possible then get out”?
I usually get in and out, this is the first year I’ll actually be there the entire week; I’m looking forward to getting out and about!
What are your SXSW Show Times?
