Neighbour Club have announced their debut EP, Snail Mail, arriving September 25, and shared its second single, “Only Fractions.”
Produced by Tom Kellett (Moreish Idols, Pearl2) at the Speedy Wunderground satellite studio in Streatham, “Only Fractions” follows the band’s debut single “Gold Leaf Girl,” released earlier this summer. The London quartet play unpretentious, Americana-inspired songs built as much for dancing as for swaying, and that combination has already drawn attention from Dork Magazine and Rough Trade, along with early BBC 6 Music airplay from Emily Pilbeam.
Neighbour Club is Lydia Shaw (guitar, vocals), Connor O’Leary (guitar, vocals), Suraj Karir (bass), and Franz Etten (drums). The group formed in London out of a shared history working together at a reality television post-production house, a background that shows up in their music more as instinct than influence.
On the new single, the band described a shift in pace from their debut: “‘Only Fractions’ is the second single from our upcoming EP ‘Snail Mail’ – we’ve taken it down a notch with a hangover drenched look at relationships passed. We intended it to be a track to hum in your head whilst you scramble round the house looking for Sunday’s second Ibuprofen hit.”

The band has already played a run of intimate shows around London, including stops at record stores and skateparks such as Dash The Henge, building a live reputation that leans loose and physical. They head out on the road this autumn, including a headline show at The Windmill in Brixton, to coincide with the arrival of Snail Mail.
